Ornstein-Schuler Marks World Day Against Trafficking in Persons By Raising More Than $300,000 To Combat Human Trafficking

Ornstein-Schuler Investments recognized United Nation’s World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, which featured 134 demonstrations in 11 countries against human trafficking, on July 30, by helping raise $317,000 for Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), a non-profit that combats child sex trafficking.

Since December 2020, Ornstein-Schuler has raised more than half a million dollars for O.U.R. These funds allow O.U.R. to shine a light worldwide on the global epidemic of child sex trafficking, and in so doing rescue more children from slavery and assist law enforcement to seek justice for those who violate children.

“I cannot thank Matt Ornstein, Frank Schuler, and everyone at Ornstein-Schuler enough for their continued generosity and commitment to ensuring that O.U.R. can continue to carry out our mission to rescue children from sex trafficking and sexual exploitation,” said Tim Ballard, Founder of O.U.R. “This support makes a difference, and I urge others to follow the example of companies like Ornstein-Schuler by providing assistance and resources so that O.U.R. can continue in our mission to eliminate the evils of human trafficking.”

On the company’s fundraising efforts, Frank Schuler, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Ornstein-Schuler, said, “We are so grateful to be able to play a part in O.U.R.’s lifesaving and transforming work. Protecting children nationally and worldwide is of the utmost importance, and I encourage others to join Ornstein-Schuler in educating themselves about human trafficking and contributing to its eradication. We will continue supporting this important mission and organization to help save as many children as possible.”

While the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons for 2021 has passed, the need for protecting the world’s children and bringing renewed attention to this tragedy and the efforts to combat it continues. It takes just an estimated $1,200 to help one child be rescued and returned to their family. Ornstein-Schuler will be conducting additional fundraisers in the future and encourages everyone to learn more about O.U.R. and to help fund its critical mission.
